Frequently asked questions
Guest uploads, original quality, storage choices, live walls, Circles, moderation and pricing — answered plainly.
General
What is Capsemble?
Capsemble brings photos, videos and voice memories from many people into one controlled event story. Capsemble Memory is for private celebrations. Live is for organised events with audience walls, interaction and organiser tools.
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests open a private link or scan the event code and contribute through their browser.
Do guests need an account?
Ordinary contributors do not. Hosts, organisers, moderators and Circle Keepers register so they can manage access and settings.
Does Capsemble replace a professional photographer?
No. Professional photography captures planned, high-quality coverage. Capsemble adds the candid angles, reactions and small moments happening everywhere else.
Files and storage
Are files kept at original quality?
Paid plans collect original-quality files within the published plan limits. Display previews may be optimised for speed.
Where are originals stored?
In the host's own Google Drive. The host connects it once; originals land there and Capsemble does not keep a copy.
Can an iPhone user connect Google Drive?
Yes. Guests still contribute through the browser, while the host connects Google Drive to receive originals.
What happens when storage expires?
The host can export, transfer or extend storage before expiry. Capsemble sends reminders, but the host remains responsible for completing the export.
Capsemble Memory
What is a Circle?
A Circle is a smaller private group inside an allowed Memory. It has a registered Keeper, its own invite and its own storage choice.
Can a Circle use the main host's storage?
Yes, if the main host allows it. Because it increases the host's usage, it costs more than connecting the Circle Keeper's own storage.
Can we show photos during the event?
Yes. The Wall displays approved contributions on a television or projector.
Live
What can appear on the Live wall?
Approved audience photos and videos, poll results, event prompts, organiser messages and clearly identified sponsor or promotion cards.
Can organisers post audience photos to Facebook or use them in email marketing?
Only when the organiser has the appropriate permission. Event display, event retention and external marketing use should be separate, understandable choices.
Can a contribution appear live but not be kept?
Yes, when the organiser enables Live-only mode. The temporary copy appears only within the stated event window and is not added to the permanent organiser library.
Does AI moderate everything automatically?
Automated screening can hold higher-risk submissions for review, but it is not perfect. A human moderator should make final public-display decisions.
Can the Live wall become a kiosk?
Eligible plans can use a full-screen kiosk view on a supported display. The event team remains responsible for the screen, network and physical setup.
Pricing
Why is Founder pricing lower?
It is a six-month launch offer designed to build early usage and feedback. It has clear limits and does not create a permanent unlimited-storage promise.
Are there guest fees?
No. The host or organiser pays for the event plan.
